homegrown delicata squash

homegrown delicata squash

The garden is just about finished for the season, butit's not over yet. I picked a bunch of delicata squash which did exceptionally well, thank you very much God of delicata squash. Because "a bunch" is an understatement. It was more of an infestation, vines busting through the fence and squash growing outside the garden. Apparently squash cannot be fenced in. I ended up picking about 15 of them, which is a lot of squash for one small family. But having too much squash is definitely a problem I can live with.

Growing and cooking food from our own garden makes life feel simple and nourishing — and that is what I want to give to my family
